About the Owner

Tarek Chawich (Owner) was born in the Beqqa Valleys of Lebanon. He spent his childhood there, growing up on French treats, baklava, and Arabic coffee. When the owner came to the States, his background never changed…drinking Arabic coffee and eating baklava every morning with his mom. Tarek spent his teenage years in local Lansing schools, and eventually attending Michigan State University where he went on to earn a Supply Chain Management degree, with a minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation in his undergrad. He is currently finishing his masters in Marketing Research from MSU as well. Tarek’s Supply Chain background provides a nuanced focus on the procurement, operations, and logistics of Château, resulting in the provision of the best quality goods for customers while simultaneously increasing the efficiency of service. In contrast to his Supply Chain background, his educational pursuits in Marketing Research advantageously provide Tarek unique understanding of our customers, their needs, and their wants. After graduating from his undergrad, Tarek worked for corporate Apple. However, he felt there was always something more he could do. He turned down offers from Tesla, Amazon, and Google to follow his passion and open Château Coffee Co.
